"The Aegis, 10-10-1952: MRS. CORA BELLE DOYLE - Mrs. Cora Belle Doyle (nee Miller), aged 59, wife of Mr. J. Kemmett Doyle, died at her home on Friday, October 3. She had been in ill health for some time.
Mrs. Doyle, a daughter of the late Robert and Matilda Miller, was a member of Mercy Rebekah Lodge No. 42 and had been a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church for 40 years. Besides her husband the deceased is survived by six children: Thomas F. Doyle, Mrs. Martha Teague, Mrs. Helen Burkins, all of Street; Mrs. Edna Austin, of Silver Springs, Geo. E. Doyle, of Baltimore, and James Warren Doyle of Forest Hill. Six brothers and sisters also survive: Geo. Miller, Cedars, Del; Goldie Miller, Havre de Grace, Delmore Miller, Whiteford; Mrs. Melissa Haugh, Felton, Pa; Mrs. Mary Gilbert, Wrightsville, Pa. and Mrs. Rachel Rink, Havre de Grace. There were seventeen grandchildren. Funeral services were held from Emory Church on Monday, October 6 at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev. Francis Love and Rev. Carroll Eads officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers: Messrs. William B. Taylor, Benjamin Carroll, Allen B. Amos, Edgar Wilson, Howard Whiteford, Sewell Bull, William E. King and Howard Younger. Also serving were twenty-four flower girls. Bailey was in charge of the funeral arrangements."
