RALPH McVEY TAYLOR
Funeral services for Ralph McVey Taylor were conducted Monday afternoon at the Waggener & Campbell chapel with the Rev. A. H. Miller, Assembly of God minister of Libby, officiating.
Interment followed in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bert Grambauer, Martin Blambagen, Fred McGill, Frank George, Lester Nadrau and R. B. Oeder.
Ralph M. Taylor was born in Letcher, S.D., on May 26, 1904, to Harry and Rosalla Taylor. When three years old, he moved with his parents to Missoula. Mr. Taylor attended Hellgate school and Missoula High School where he received his education.
He worked as a mechanic and was police chief in Ronan for several years. For a time he was greens keeper for the Polson Country Club. Mr. Taylor was a carpenter and worked for the J. Neils Lumber Co. in Libby until he retired because of ill health.
Surviving Mr. Taylor are his wife, Viola G., at the family home in Libby; one son, Fred W. Taylor of Seattle; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Skaufel of Spokane; three brothers, F. C. Taylor of Burbank, Calif., E. A. Taylor of Missoula and A. H. Taylor of Kingman, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs. H. D. Powers of Portland, Ore., Martha Askew of Polson, Mrs. Henry Hellman of Seattle and Fern Doney of Polson; and six grandchildren. Mr. Taylor died in Kalispell May 28 at the age of 55 years.
