Mrs. Rosella C. Taylor, 77, who had lived in this area since 1807, died early Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Doney at Arlee, following an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Taylor was born April 2, 1862, in Indiana. She came to Western Montana from South Dakota in 1907 and had lived in this region since. Her husband, Harry Taylor, whom she married in 1877, died in 1919 here.
She is survived by five sons, Alfred of Corona, Cal.; Frank, of Barton, Wash.; Ernest, of Missoula; Ralph, of Philipsburg, and Willard, of Seattle, and by four daughters, Mrs. H.D. Powers, of Cannon Beach, Ore.; Mrs. Henry Hellman, of Missoula; Mrs. W. I. Askew, of Polson, and Mrs. Doney, of Arlee.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Stucky's chapel, conducted by Dr. D. E. Jackson. Burial will be in Missoula cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Angus Doney, Melvin Doney, Tom Phillips, Alfred Phelps, Harry Carnell and G. D. Forssen.
