Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Allen Martin, 37 years of age, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Zion with the Rev. Mitt Stearman in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Martin died at the home Tuesday near Bengal. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen, county, and was a member of the Zion church which she joined seven years ago. Surviving are her husband: Charlie Martin; two sons: Harrison and Harlan; and nine daughters: Catherine, Frances, Bernice, Omie, Dorothy, Jennie, Ella, at home and two married daughters, Mrs. Lilly Underwood and Mrs. Ella Watson. Mrs. Annie Allen Martin, 37 died at her home Tuesday August 18, near Bengal. She is the daughter Mr. And Mrs. Robert Allen of Taylor County. She professed faith seven years ago and became a member of the Zion Baptist Church. She married Charlie Martin and to this union two sons and nine daughters were born.
Surviving are : Harrison and Harland Martin, Misses Catherine, Frances, Bernice, Omie, Dorothy, Jennie, and Ella Martin, Mrs. Silby Underwood and Mrs. Ella Watson. Also parents Mr. & Mrs. Robert Allen and a half-sister.
Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Zion. Rev. Mitt Stearman was in charge, burial at Zion.
