Adeline was born on March 14, 1929 in St. Joseph to Frank & Dorothy (Schwab) Schloemer. She married Andrew J. Gillitzer on June 8, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph. She worked for District 742 in Community Education and was a clerk and bookkeeper at the St. Joe Pharmacy. Adeline was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph Senior Citizens, VFW Post 428 St. Cloud Auxiliary, St. Joseph American Legion Auxiliary, St. Joseph Lioness and RSVP Retired Senior Volunteer program. She volunteered at the St. Joe Lab School and the St. Joe Food Shelf.

Survivors include her children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew on June 15, 1997; sons, James and Randy; brothers, Albert, Herman, Richard and Frank Schloemer; sisters, Marie Prom and Mildred Kramer.
