Mrs. Barbara M. Tope, Rock Falls, died Sunday morning at the Riverview Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was 82 years old.
Mrs. Tope was born July 15, 1876 in Rockford, the daughter of George and Jessie Robb. She was united in marriage to Enos Tope in Chicago, Sept. 12, 1904, and the couple moved to Rock Falls eight years ago.
Mrs. Tope is survived by one son, Robert L. Tope; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct. 29, 1854, one brother, and three sisters.
The funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at the Wheelock Allen Funeral home with Rev. Ivan Obenshain of the Rock Falls Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Rock Falls odd Fellows Cemetery.
