Alvin Jarman of Pauls Valley was born July 26, 1927 in Maysville, Oklahoma, to Claude Vernon Jarman and Rushey E. Neal Jarman. He passed away December 12, 2006 at Ada, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years from injuries sustained in an automobile crash.

Alvin was married to Lois Dean Luttrell at Pauls Valley on October 27, 1955. He was a bull dozer operator for G&J Construction. He had lived most of his life in this area.

He was a member of 1st Church of God. Alvin sold used coon dogs and was known as "Honest Al." He never met a stranger and had a great love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Rushey Jarman; infant sister, Dessie Jarman; sister, Hattie Raney; 5 brothers, Jessie, Dawson, Orval, Marvin and Charlie.

Surviving family include his six children, Gary and Janna Jarman, Johnny and Brenda Jarman, and Wayne and Lou Ann Beam, all of Pauls Valley, Scott and Paula McCracken of Wayne, Mike and Becky Martin of Pauls Valley, and Jody and Nicole Jarman of OKC; brother, Emmitt Jarman of Modesto, California; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Pauls Valley First United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Patrick McCone and Gary Underwood.

Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Notes of Remembrance and/or Condolences may be sent to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
