Lavon McClure Roberts, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006. She was under the wonderful care of the staff at Hillside Manor Personal Care Home and Albert Gallatin Hospice. Mrs. Roberts is survived by three daughters, one son, two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many others who loved and cared for her. Mrs. Roberts was an active member of Christ Church, United Methodist in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., prior to her illness. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.The family will hold a memorial service to honor Mrs. Roberts at 11 a.m. Thursday at East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 169 Main St., P.O. Box 483, Vanderbilt, PA 15486 (724-529-7262). Contributions in memory of Mrs. Roberts may be made to East Liberty Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home of Uniontown.

Mrs. Roberts was an active member of Christ Church, United Methodist, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, prior to her illness.

She served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her sister, Joanne Joseph of Connellsville, Pa.; and daughters: Bobbi Bower of Milford, Ohio, Ginny Bumgardner of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Chris Martin of Weatherford, Texas; and son, Ed Roberts Jr. of Austin, Texas.

Mrs. Roberts is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and many others who loved and cared for her.

The family will have a Memorial Service to honor Mrs. Roberts on Thursday, December 28, 2006, at 11 a.m. in EAST LIBERTY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 169 Main Street (Post Office Box 483), Vanderbilt, PA 15426 (1-724-529-7262).

Contributions in memory of Mrs. Roberts may be made to the East Liberty Presbyterian Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa.
