Joanne (McClure) Joseph, 82, of Connellsville, Dunbar Township, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at her home while surrounded and comforted by her loving family. She was born Nov. 17, 1929, in West Mifflin [sic], a daughter of the late John and Lyda (Freidel) McClure. Joanne was a graduate of the former Munhall High School with the class of 1947. She was a very active member of East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Vanderbilt where she was an Elder, Deaconess, served as financial secretary for the church board, and helped with the monthly food bank. Joanne will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her husband, George Joseph, Nov. 23, 1997; and a sister, Lavon Roberts. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Vanderbilt, with the Rev. H. David McElroy officiating. Interment will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Arrangements by BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Vanderbilt; the American Heart Association; or the National Diabetes Association, in memory of Joanne M. Joseph.
