Billy Curry, 86, of Turkey Creek, Kentucky, died Sunday Jan. 31, 1988, in the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, KY. Born March 27, 1901, he was a son of the late Harvey and Lucinda Farley Curry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by this first wife, Cinda Runyon Curry, six brothers and three sisters. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the United Mine Workers.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Fouch Curry of Turkey Creek; four sons, Jonce Curry of Haysi, Virginia, Billy Curry of Columbus, Ohio, Amos Curry of Ravenswood, WV, and Johnny Curry of Tennessee; five daughters, Mrs. Ivory Farmer, Mrs. Effie Elder, Mrs. Ruth Hess, Mrs. Icelee Dillon, and Mrs. Vicie Hunt; two brothers, Rush and Garnet; four sisters, Edith Kirk, Sarah Maynard, Nancy Hatfield, and Mrs. Ellie Bostic Tiller; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Chafin Funeral Home and burial followed in the Curry-Farley Cemetery on Elk Creek.
