Charles Stanley, age 73, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Justice officiating. Burial will follow in the Liverworth Cemetery.
The Stanley family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Charles entered into this life on May 29, 1944 in Clarksville to the late John and Maude Byrd Stanley. Throughout his working career, Charles was a businessman and had most notably been employed with I.C. Railroads, Waste Management and for the Montgomery County, Tennessee government. He was a member of Covenant Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Stanley; sisters, Edna Pulley, Betty Moore, Martha Trainer, Ann Westrich (Rich), Judy Moreno (John), and Phyllis Espersen; children, Tracie Stanley, Danny Stanley, Chuck Stanley, Tammy Johnson, and Billy Stanley. He was the loving grandfather to Amber Stanley (Shawna), Chelsi Hazlett, Brittani James (Tylor), Alli James, Tori James, Jeremy Collier, Jr, Peyton Collier, Cody Stanley (Ashley), Charli Creekmur (Jacob), Brandi Stanley, Christopher Johnson, and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Lusby, Joe Reeves, Jeremy Collier, Tylor Mitchell, Jacob Creekmur, and Rickey Westrich.
