IN THE REMEMBRANCE OF THE LATE

Mother Beatrice Boyd aka (Mama B)

On March 11, 2000 at Aberdeen Monroe County Hospital at 7:15 a.m. in the warmth of the morning, the Angel of Death called our beloved Mama B home.
She was born, March 9, 1898 to the Isaiah and Mattie Coleman, in Monroe County.
She professed hope in Christ at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. Robert Franklin, and joined Sulphur Spring M.B. Church where she served as a faithful member until her health failed her.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Ben Slater. To this union three children were born, they all preceded her in death. She later married Jim Boyd who also preceded her death.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, eleven grandchildren: Lola(Leo) Ezell, Ella Spratt, Thelma (Herbert) Washington, all of Hamilton, Mississippi, Debra Chaney of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Brenda Whitfield of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bennie (Ardelia) Whitfield, W.D.
