A very old resident of Southland, Mr. Albert Adams, died at Winton yesterday at the age of 83. The late Mr. Adams was born in Victoria and came to New Zealand as a boy with his parents. Last October he celebrated his golden wedding, when festivities were held attended by relatives and friends from far and near, the wedding of a granddaughter being solemnised on the same day. The late Mr. Adams leaves a widow and a family of eight, as well as 38 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
