Rasmus Edmund Martin, 87, of Ferndale, died at his home in Waddington Saturday following a lengthy illness. He was born February 29, 1872, in Petaluma, came to Ferndale in 1894, and had lived there since. For 45 years, he was employed as a creamery worker. He was a fifty years member of the Dania lodge of Ferndale.

He is survived by four sons, Harry of Santa Cruz, Albert of Loleta, Elmer of Ferndale and Raymond of Alderpoint; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Anderson of Ferndale; two brothers, Oscar and Alfred of Petaluma; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Earhart and Mrs. Carl Young of Petaluma; thirteen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Leslie, of Ferndale.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Citizen's Mortuary, Ferndale, the Rev. Theodore Nace officiating. Interment will be at Ferndale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Martin, Lloyd Martin, Darrell Martin, Leslie Martin, John Martin and Harold Garrett.
