Passed Away On Saturday

On Saturday morning at 1 o'clock, Mrs. Dogmar [sic] A. Jacobsen, beloved wife of Jacob E. Jacobsen, passed into rest at the family home on Fifth and I streets. The death of the highly esteemed woman cast a gloom over her many friends and relatives in Petaluma. he[r] family cannot be consoled over their loss, although they knew their loved one was beyond medical aid and could not recover.

Mrs. Jacobsen has been ill for several years, and every thing in the power of her dear ones was done to relieve her suffering, but without avail.

Deceased was born near Petaluma, and was 37 years and 10 months of age. She is the daughter of Mrs. John Martin of Petaluma. She leaves a husband to mourn her loss, besides a number of sisters and brothers. Mrs. Jacobsen was a prominent member of Society Danner, and Friendship Circle, O. H. S.

The funeral will be held under the auspices of Society Danner. The time has not been set for the funeral, but it will be held next week. Mr. Jacobsen has the sympathy of all in the hour of his sorrow.

Friendship Circle of Hermann Sisters will conduct the funeral services of the late Mrs. J. E. Jacobsen on Wednesday afternoon at the family home.

Was Laid To Rest A Cypress Hill

The funeral of the late Mrs. Dagmar Jacobsen took place Wednesday at 1 o'clock from the family home on Fifth street and was largely attended. Long before the hour appointed for the funeral, the home was thronged with relatives and friends who sought to console the grief-stricken husband. The funeral services were under the auspices of the Friendship Circle, Herman Sisters. Rev. Darden of Corning, officiated at the services. A long line of vehicles followed the hearse to Cypress Hill cemetery, where the remains were tenderly laid to rest. The grave was covered with beautiful floral pieces.
