Once more has death visited out town, and it's victim has call away one of our Pioneers in the person of Mrs Miriam Barnes, Nee Coulson, who after a lingering illiness of several weeks duration obeyed the summons 31 Jan 1902 at one o'clock pm at her home in Triplett, MO. She was born 23 Jan 1835, was therefore 67 yrs and 8 days old. She was united in Marriage to Aaron Barnes 2 June 1850. Of this union seven children were born, four sons and three daughters. One son and one daughter together with her husband, who died in 1868 preceded her to the grave. she leaves 3 sons and 2 daughters and severad grand children to mourn her death Funeral was preached by Elder Isaac Lawson of Dean Lake at 2pm. the body was laid away in the McCullough Cemetery in Triplett.
