"Mansfield Holmes, a well known farmer, died at his residence in Lawyersville late Tuesday night following a long illness. Poor health for the past three years prevented his taking an active part in farming, but he continued his interest and participation in various civic and community activities. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p. m. at the Dutch Reformed church, Lawyersville, of which he was a member, with Rev. Wilbur Ivins officiating and interment will be at Cobleskill. Mr. Holmes was born at Fultonham July 7, 1893, the son of the late Charles and Lily (Rector) Holmes. Surviving besides his widow, the former Lena D.
