Dorothy M. Kale, 80, formerly of Riegelsville, PA died Saturday in Old Orchard Health Care Center, Bethlehem, Twp., PA.
For 51 years, she had been employed as a seamstress for the former Avati Company, Easton, retiring in 1998.
She was born March 8, 1931 in Lower Saucon Twp., PA, a daughter of the late Calvin and Mary Ernst Kunsman.
She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Riegelsville and the Ladies Auxilliary of the Riegelsville Fire Company. She loved to cook and sew and she loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed gardening and bowling and in her earlier years, was a member of the Riegel Ridge Bowling League.
Survivors: Three sons, Randy and his wife, Diane, of Palmer Twp., PA, Richard and his wife, Debbie, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Alan, of Riegelsville; four grandchildren, Shawn, Brian, Michael and Amanda Kale; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Kunsman of Bethlehem, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, who died in 1996; her son, Jeff, who died in 1974; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Services: Funeral Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, 327 Easton Rd., Riegelsville, PA. Cremation will follow the funeral, and burial of the ashes will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, PO Box 188, Riegelsville, PA 18077.
