Services for Harold D. Smither, 52, of Harrodsburg, will be 2 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Brown. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery.

He died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born Nov. 6, 1952, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Richard and Flossie Bryant Smither.

He retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen Toombs Smither; two sons, Daniel Smither of Harrodsburg and Chris Smither of Pineville; five bothers, Burrell Smither of Franklin, Ind., Richard Smither Jr. and Steve Smither, both of Liberty, Gary Smither of Lexington and Ronnie Smither of New Port Richey, Fla.; four sisters, Burrneatha Edwards of Anderson, Ind., Velma Walls and Javana Short, both of Liberty, and Wanda Ponder of Harrodsburg; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Vern Preston, Josh Ewing, Earl Gene Walls, Joe and Donald Smither, Billy Ray Short, Ben Allen and Brian Stewart.

Honorary pallbearers include Terry Walls, and Mike, Eric, Benji, and Victor Smither.
