July 10, 1927 - October 5, 2016 Thursa Baker, daughter of the late Charlie and Maudie Gibson Kiser was born July 10, 1927 in Campbranch, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 89 years, 2 months and 25 days of age at the time of her passing.
Thursa married Kermit Baker. He passed away October 6, 2008. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed sewing and was a avid rook player.
She is survived by one daughter, Mollie Range of Versailles, Kentucky. Six sons, David (Harjiti) Baker of Oklahoma, Joe Baker, Bobby Baker both of Mayking, Kentucky, Danny (Joyce) Baker of Campbranch, Kentucky, Tim Baker of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Teddy (Tricia) Baker of Ivol, Kentucky. One brother, Joe Kiser of Thornton, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Joy Allison Hayes. Three brothers, Buford, Hobert and Arthur. Two sisters, Rose Wallace and Viva Kiser. She will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine in Letcher Co. KY.
