Guadalupe Luna Reyes went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday October 6, 2016, at Harbor UCLA Hospital, the same place where she was born just 39 years ago. Born to Magdaleno and Adela Luna, she was the youngest of five siblings, Heriberto, Merced, Luis and Carolina. Lupe was a 1995 graduate from Carson Hgh School. It was that summer that she came to know Christ and became a born again believer. Soon after, she met the man who would become her husband for over 20 years Elihu Reyes. They met at Mission Ebenezer Family Church during Youth Night, just a few blocks from her home where her parents still live today. She had a sweet spirit about her with a kind and generous heart. Lupe was a life long fan of any sports team her husband liked.

Nearly two years ago, Lupe, as her friends and family call her, was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer, a rare disease even among cancer patients. Although the news was devastating, Lupe was resolved in her faith in Christ. She proposed in her heart to accept God's perfect will for her life. Even those that were with her on a regular basis never heard her complain about her situation. She is survived by the loves of her life, her husband Elihu, her son Adam, and daughters Idalis and Mila, her parents in-law Paz McNeel and Abram Reyes, siblings, and many, many other loved ones. She was joined in Heaven with her loving mentor, Mare, Elihu's grandma. We will miss her.
