There is some question as to Abraham's DOB, I have used the information from the 1870 census, when he is living with his grandson W Edward Smith in Perinton, where he reported his age as 99 years, the closest to his death.
"Fairport has lost a centenarian. A man named Abram Cornish, aged one hundred years on the 4th inst., died in that village on Wednesday. He was born in New Jersey in 1772, spent several years on Long Island, and removed to Wayne County where he lived for many years. He was a soldier in the war of 1812." (Thursday, May 2, 1872, The Wayne County Journal of Palmyra, New York)
