Paul Paulson
BROOTEN—Paul Paulson, 77, died Sunday at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Big Grove Lutheran Church. The Rev. James C. McCalmant will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to services.
Mr. Paulson was born May 2, 1908, near New Ulm to the late Peter and Tilda (Vaage) Paulson. He farmed in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County, until 1940 when he moved to a farm north of Brooten. He was past president of Brooten Creamery, former member of School District 191, and member of Big Grove Lutheran Church, church council and was a Livewire 4-H Club leader.
Survivors include his wife, Verna; daughters and sons, Mrs. Herbert (Jacquelin) Hanson, Princeton; Mrs. Albert (Virginia) Mohr, Willmar; Mrs. Way (Patricia) Hagen, New London; Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Hanson and Bruce, Belgrade; Glory Strodtman, Paynesville; Roger, Eagle Bend; Justin, Brooten; sisters, Myrtle Strom, New Ulm; Agnes Armstrong, Austin; Mary Ann Jensen, Minneapolis; Minnie Stockstead, Sleepy Eye; Mrs. Ernest (Annie) Sather, Longville; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary, sisters, Clara and Viola, and one granddaughter.
