He was a son of Gilbert and Mamie Perry Reome.

He married Betty J. Tatro on 8/5/1943 at St. John Bosco Church in Malone. She died on 1/30/1998.

He and his wife operated Dona and Betty's Grocery Store on Park Street in Malone for 37 years. Previously, he worked in the mines at Lyon Mountain and for the village of Malone. He retired several years ago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and horseshoes and following Yankees baseball.

Surviving were three sons, James (Dottie), Wayne (Patty), and Robin and his companion, Mava Kubieck; five daughters. Mrs. Peter (Shirley) Cahill, Mrs. Dale (Carolyn) Kruse, Mary Reome, Mrs. Dick (Cathy) Ashlaw, and Mrs. Kevin (Tina) LaFlesh; two Leon and Lawrence; a sister, Lucille Tatro; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Five brothers, Francis, Gilbert, Raymond, Robert and Norman, and four sisters, Beatrice Mayville, Ida Mae Marlow, Gladys Tatro and Florida Marleau, died before him.
