He served with the Army infantry during World War II in the European theater. He was employed with Bronze Powder Works, New York Central Railroad and later with Monette Distributing Co. as a delivery man and later as sales manager until his retirement in 1984, after 20 years of service.
Surviving was his wife; a daughter, Connie Benware; three grandsons; four brothers, Dona, Leon, Lawrence, and Robert, and two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Florida) Marleau and Lucille Tatro.
Three brothers, Gilbert, Francis, and Norman, and three sisters, Gladys Tatro, Beatrice Mainville, and Ida Marlowe, died before him.
