Helena was born in the Bedford section of Brooklyn, New York, the third in an Italian family of eight sibliings. In order there was Claude, Vincenza, Helena, Amelia, Isabella,Joseph, Gloria and Matilda. She married Raymond P. Scott and had one child, Raymond G. Scott. The family moved to Florida when their son was about 10 yrs. old. Raymond Jr. died in an auto accident in 1983. Both Helen and her husband of many years died in 2000.

Helen Scott, 80, of Holiday, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2000). She came here 33 years ago from her native New York City. She was a bookkeeper and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include two sisters, Matilda Kretzmer and Vinnie Koshel, both of New York. Trinity Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey. ( only Matilda still living 2016)
