Mabel Belle Behrens, 86, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Manor Care, Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at First Christian Church, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the church. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Mabel was born on May 7, 1930 in Davenport, the son of Homer and Edith (Denning) Appleby. She was united in marriage to Norman William Paul Behrens on June 22, 1957 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1993.

Mabel enjoyed bowling and bingo. She was a member of the Davenport American Legion Womens Auxillary and was a former past president. She was also a member of Bettendorf V.F.W., Davenport Womens Bowling Association, Spring Village Association and First Christian Church.

Those left to honor her memory include sons, Homer "Larry" (Deb) Behrens, Davenport, and Louis (Carey) Behrens, Rock Island; brother Charles "Jim" (Fran) Appleby, Davenport; 15 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 granddaughter, and 3 great grandchildren.
