Watty(Walter) Knox's records are all missing. His parents were Walter Knox and Mary Clark of Valcartier, Quebec. Walter's nephew found Walter's descendants in 1975 and died suddenly before the visit to Marquette, Michigan. His brother Thomas Knox is my great grandfather. Thomas's grandfather Thomas Knox received a large land grant in Valcartier in the late 1700s. He was listed as a soldier- no records to be found of his military history- the grant may have been because his father was Captain John Knox.
