Alice W. Felser passed away Dec. 31, 2008, at Candler Hospital after a sudden and brief illness.
Alice was born and raised in Savannah, primarily by her mother, Fannie Goldberg Weissman, who precede her in death. Her only sibling, Hank Weissman, preceded her in death in 1995.
Alice was a graduate of Commercial High in Savannah. For several years she was wan executive secretary for Nick Mamalakis and Walter mercer at Mercer Insurance Co. on Bay Street.
She was also a Clinique consultant at Adler’s department store (formerly in Oglethorpe Mall) and late in life a legal assistant for her sons Paul and Jeff, both attorneys at law.
Alice was married for 36 years to Marty Felser, who preceded her in death in 1995.
She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, and grandmother.
Together, Alice and Marty raised three children who survive her: Paul, Jeff, and Felice. Felice is a certified nurse practitioner in Marietta, Ga.
Alice has two grandchildren, Mya and Jake, the children of Paul and Marjorie Felser.
Graveside services will be at Bonaventure Cemetery at 1:30pm on New Year’s Day. Rabbi Avigdor Slatus will officiate. The family will sit Shiva at the residence and welcomes visitors.
