Services for Hubert "Huey" Carl Bowman, 77, Walton, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, in his residence.
Born May 29, 1929, in Cass County, he was the son of Samuel Phillip and Mildred Cart Bowman. He was married Aug. 8, 1955, in Logansport, to Marjorie "Ducky" Sadler, who preceded in death Jan. 6, 2005.
Huey was a retired farmer and also had worked at the 18th Street Elevator.
He was a member of the Walton American Legion Post 418 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
Surviving are one son, Samuel Elvin Bowman and his wife, Sue, Logansport; two daughters, Lisa Gibbs and her husband, Rick, Logansport, and Anita Bowman, Williamsburg, Ky.; one granddaughter, Amanda Shelton and her husband, Rick, Logansport; twin brother, Herbert Bowman and his wife, Marianne, New Waverly; five brothers, William Bowman and his wife, Mary, Ron Bowman, and Richard Bowman and his wife, Sondra, all of Logansport, Gerald Bowman, New Waverly, and Larry Bowman and his wife, Wilma, Burnettsville; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Justin and Matthew Shelton, both of Logansport.
Five brothers, Marion, Truman, Raymond, Victor and John, and one sister, Janice Holmes, preceded in death.
Pastor Mike Stow will officiate at the services. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
