Tulsa Johnson, 92, born Nov. 4, 1923, passed Friday, Aug. 12, 2016. A native of Fort Worth, Tulsa advocated for equality and justice for all. Her straightforward manner and strong work ethic made her a trailblazer in racial equality. Her flower-covered car was a bright spot in our local MLK parades. She said she had been emancipated twice in her life, by her own account, "Once by the Civil Rights Act, and again by the Baha'i' Faith." Her reliance on God and steadfastness to service was a model and inspiration to all blessed to know her. Survivors: She is survived by her son, Anthony Reavis; her grandchildren; and extended family.
