Louisa M. “Lou” (Bakes) Kimmel, went to be with the Lord at 8:45 PM on November 3, 2016 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Lou was born on August 1, 1932 in Orange Twp, Rush Co., Indiana, the daughter of John and Bertha (Spurling) Bakes.

She was first married to Noris Cecil Jones and she later married Otis Kimmel on March 23, 1963 in Olney. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Assembly of God in Olney for many years. She worked at Kralis chicken factory. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. She also enjoyed going to the Olney Rebels Special Olympic events to support her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Lou is survived by 2 sons, Eddie Kimmel and Mike Kimmel; daughter Toni Jones; son-in-law Paul Bogard; daughter-in-law Lori Kimmel; brother James Bakes; 2 sisters Rozella Bakes and Linda Bakes; grandson Elijah Kimmel.

She is preceded in death by her husband Otis Kimmel, parents John and Bertha Bakes, 3 daughters Kathy (Jones) Coker, Susie Kimmel and Rozella (Jones) Diel
