Susan K. Kimmel, 44, of Olney, died at 7:35 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, at her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney with Reverend Paul Goss officiating.

Ms. Kimmel was born October 30, 1966, in Olney, the daughter of Otis and Louisa (Bakes) Kimmel. She never married.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Olney and a multiple medal winner for the Olney Rebels Special Olympics team. She will be sadly missed by her family, teammates and church family. She was a special person.

Ms. Kimmel is survived by her mother, Louisa Kimmel, of Olney; brothers, Michael Kimmel, of Olney, and Eddie Kimmel and his wife, Lorianne, of Vandalia; sister, Rozella Diel, of Olney, and Toni Jones, of Olney; and nephew, Elijah Kimmel, of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otis Kimmel; halfsister, Kathi Coker; uncle, Charles Kimmel; and brothers-in-law, David Diel and Robert Deeley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Olney Rebels Special Olympics team.
