Eleanor McGillivary Bishop Brenner, age 85, born November 27, 1930 to Greta and Merle (Mac) McGillivary in Syracuse, NY. She was married to Harold Bishop, bore three children, Bonnie Ann Dudaski, Robert Bishop and Thomas Bishop.
Robert preceded her in death.
In 1971 she married Phillip Brenner who survives her. She lived in Palm Beach County Florida for 40 years. She was always interested in politics, ran for mayor of Lake Park, Florida (unsuccessfully). She was proud of her Scottish heritage. She belonged to the Scottish American Society of Palm Beach County, the Daughters of Scotia and Clan McGillivary, a nationwide organization. In 2003 she and her husband moved to Albuquerque where her daughter Bonnie lived with her husband, Richard and her two granddaughters, Laurie and Lisa. She joined the Saint Andrews Society of New Mexico and stayed a member as long as she was able to contribute. Her biggest fear was having to be put in a nursing home for her final days. God spared her that. She will be interred next to her mother and father in Owego, New York.
