Brooks Adkins age 90, of Sandy Hook, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 07, at Elliott Nursing and Rehab Center in Sandy Hook.
Mrs. Adkins was born August, 15, 1926 in Morgan County, Kentucky a daughter of the late William and Linda Adkins.She was retired from the Elliott County Board of Education, where she spent many years. She attended the Fannin Enterprise Baptist Church and enjoyed spending quality time with her loved ones.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband; Carl Adkins, three sisters; Blanche Heid, Virginia Dagett, Wilma Coffee.She is survived by four daughters and their spouses; Tammy (Joey) Skaggs of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Debbie (Charlie) Adkins Fraley of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Shirley (Gary) Fraley, of St. Charles, Missouri, Charlotte Adkins of Morehead, Kentucky, 10 grandchildren; Jeremy Skaggs, Caden Skaggs, MaKenna Skaggs, Dustin Skaggs, Chris Fraley, Rick Fraley, Kim Pennington, Missy DeSantis, Shane Lewis, Ericka Adkins, along with a host of family and friends that will sadly mourn her passing.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 09 , 2016 at Waddell & Whitt Funeral Home with Brother Billy T. Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens.Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 08, 2016 at the funeral home.Serving as pallbearers will be; Jeremy Skaggs, Dustin Skaggs, Caden Skaggs, Shane Lewis, Regan Adkins, Mark Pennington.Honorary pallbearers; Elliott Nursing & Rehab Staff, Two special caregivers; Misti A.
