Cora Mae (Dean) Kittle, age 87, of Oakland, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Charleston Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Cora was born April 17, 1923 in Oakland, Illinois to James Everett and Lela Fay (Daniels) Dean. She married Guy T. Apple on May 15, 1939. After his death, she married Charles Kittle in 1991; he also preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, a daughter-in-law, one step-son, one step-daughter, one brother, one sister, two special nephews, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her two husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chuck Apple; one brother and two sisters. Cora was a lifelong resident of Oakland, and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling locally and taking care of her family. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Shields Cemetery near Oakland at 11:00 a.m.
