KENNY, Gretchen L. (Wylie) Longtime Norwood resident, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2016. Gretchen was a graduate of Hyde Park High School class of 1954, Boston State Teachers College class of 1958 and worked for many years for the Norwood Public Schools.
Beloved wife of the late William P. Kenny; loving mother of Nora Glynn and her husband Robert of Norwood, Tricia Clifford and her husband Jim of Norwood, William Kenny and his wife Sharon of Framingham, John Kenny and his wife Karen of E. Falmouth, and Mark Kenny and his wife Mary of Plymouth; cherished grandmother of Mara, Megan and Billy Glynn, Jake, Johnny, Katie and Will Kenny, and Billy Hunt; sister of Elizabeth Sheldon of Orange and the late Robert Wylie; daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Wallace) Wylie. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 10:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Gretchen L. Kenny may be made to the William P. Kenny Scholarship Fund, c/o Norwood Bank, 11 Central Street, Norwood, MA 02062.
