BUTLER, Mrs. Ruth Matthews Adams -- age 100 years old
died Wednesday, February 16, 1994.
Previously married to James Ewell Adams of Cedar Hill,TN
who preceded her in death in 1956.
In 1970, she married Dr. Willis Pollard Butler of Shreveport, LA., who died in 1990.
She is survived by three sons; James Matthews Adams of Nashville, TN., William Coefield Adams of Knoxville,TN., Don Coefield Adams of Kilgore, TX; daughters, Mrs. Franklin Cole Ferguson, of Athens, GA., Mrs. Robert Love Core of Nashville, TN; 12 grandchildchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Remains are at the Cole & Garrett , Goodlettsville
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 18th at
10:00 a.m. at Ferguson Chapel Belmont United Methodist
Church with Rev. Richard Allison and Rev. John Collette officating.
Pallbearers: William C. Adams, Jr., Don Carthel Adams, Jr., Luke Franklin Ferguson, Baster Gordon, Sam A. Sommers, J. Tilden Bourland, Daniel T. Gift, David Greenlee, Randy Akin, Bryan Bittick, Robert Davis, Thomas Evans Baird, James David Baird, Dr. John D. Cranwell.
