Funeral services for Mollie H. Taylor, age 85, of Winn Parish, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2016 from Zion Hill Baptist Church west of Olla with Bro. Jesse Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the church.
Mollie was born March 4, 1931 to the union of Perry and Maggie Allbritton Kees in Winn Parish and she passed from this life on November 15, 2016 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.
Her family called her "Maw." Her friends knew her as Ms. Mollie. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to crochet, draw, and cook. She also loved flowers.
She was preceded in death by her sons: Roger Dee. Taylor and Kevin "Buster" Taylor; brothers: D.J., Minus, Floyd, and Sammy Kees; grandsons: Brian Taylor and Charles Louis Taylor.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Thomas Louis Taylor of Winn Parish; sons: Eddie Taylor of Winn Parish; Tommy Taylor of Grayson; John Kim Taylor and his wife Bit of Olla; daughters: Vicki Taylor of Winn Parish; Julie Taylor Woods and her husband Raven of Winn Parish; grandchildren: Perry, Mike, Micheal Dee, Josh, Jonathan,, and Dana Taylor, Brett McManus, Stacey Wiggins, Natasha Wells, Chris Ford, Laci Stalcup. Numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
