OLLA — Funeral services for D. J. Kees, 56, of Olla were to be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Officiating was to be the Rev. Ed Moore, the Rev. J. D. Enterkin and the Rev. Eddie Parker. Burial was to be in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson.

Mr. Kees died Thursday morning in Hardtner Medical Center at Urania after a brief illness.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Kees was a service station worker.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Kees of Olla; two stepsons, Bobby Fisher of Olla and Jimmy Fisher of Bayminette, Ala.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Karen Crawford of Livingston, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Kees of Olla; three brothers, Minis Kees and Floyd Kees, both of Orange, Tex. and Sammy Kees of Olla; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Taylor of Olla; and three grandchildren.
