Alene Tate Flanigan, age 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
Alene was born in Coalmont, Tennessee to the late Marvin and Nelvia Campbell Tate.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Don Flanigan; son-in-law, Tommy Lawrence.
Alene is survived by her children, Harold (Doris) Folkner, Jennye Lawrence, Gloria (John) Saft, Donnie (Priscilla) Flanigan, Kellye (Richard) Cooper, and Patrick (Michele) Flanigan; adopted daughters, Connie Hughes, and Nancy Craven; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Gene Tate.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, November 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Funeral services for Alene will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday at the North Chapel with Reverend David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
