George Alma Hardman, 82, of Lindon passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home. George was born May 12, 1933 in Lindon to David and Eda Iverson Hardman. He married Rachel McKinnon on July 26, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple.

George grew up on the family farm and dairy in Lindon. He attended schools in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1951. George worked at Geneva Steel for many years and later for Alpine School District at the bus garage. George enjoyed many days on horseback with the Orem Riding Club. Rodeos, Cutter Racing and Hide Racing was a way of life. He later enjoyed raising and racing Quarter Horses. George loved to hunt pheasant in Lindon and Elk and Deer in the mountains he loved. In later life, George enjoyed woodworking and gave many items he made to family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his wife; six children; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Lindon Second Ward Chapel, 610 West 100 South, Lindon where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30-10:45 am. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 72.
