Early Life: Lola was born on March 24, 1925, to David and Eda Hardman in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Lola was one of twelve children. They were all raised on a farm in Pleasant Grove.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Lola met the love of her life, Leonard Gilbert Mitchell, on November 21, 1941, on a blind date. Leonard and Lola were married on April 24, 1942. They were later sealed on June 7, 1974, for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple. They were blessed with three children: Connie, Nancy and Jerry. Lola had many talents and passions including serving in many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, being a genealogy consultant at the Utah Valley Genealogical Library at Brigham Young University, crocheting, quilting, knitting, gardening, member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and volunteering in the hospital. Lola had the ability to make anyone’s day by talking to them. Any random person on the street could become Lola’s newest friend. She had a great testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saings, and more specifically, in prayers. Lola Hardman Mitchell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on February 20, 2016. She was 90 years old.
Survived By: Her three children: Connie (Wayne) Pace, Nancy (Mike) Millet and Jerry Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: Her loving husband; her parents; all but one sibling, Lillian; daughter-in-law, Shirline; and two grandchildren.
