An Old Gentleman Frightened To Death.

The splendid residence and kitchen of Col. David Northington, two miles west of Port Royal, Montgomery county, was burned to ashes a few days since, including much valuable furniture. On the following morning, an old gentleman, Mr. Blane, who occupied a room in the house, was found dead in the yard, some distance from the dwelling. It is supposed that he died from the effect produced by sudden alarm and excitement. The fire, of which the origin is supposed to have been accidental, broke out in the kitchen, and had enveloped the entire building before it was discovered. -- Nashville Banner.
