Mrs. Bertha G. Sternaman, 65, of 445 Williams St., died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 1961, in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
A resident of Springfield for the past 24 years, she was a member of the West Side Christian Church.
She was the daughter of George K. Gilley and Dora Jackman.
Surviving are her husband, Chester J.; and one son, Carl M. Sternaman, of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Curry of Champaign; and one sister, Mrs. Daisy Chaplin of Washington, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Services were at the Ellinger and Kunz Funeral Home.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
