Canadian physician, scholar and politician. A native of Saint-François-de-Beauce (Québec), he studied at the Minor Seminary in Québec and at Laval University. He was awarded the Medal of the Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of Quebec. He was admitted to the College of Physicians of Québec in 1922. In 1931, he became director of the service of gynaecology of Saint-Sacrement Hospital in Québec while teaching obstetric and gynaecology at the Faculty of Medicine of Laval University . He taught there from 1931 to 1957. He was a member of the Academy of Sciences of New York and member also of the American Society of Cancer. He served as President of the Society of gynaecology of Canada. In 1956, the electors of the district of Compton sent him as their Liberal representative to the Legislative Assembly of Québec. He died in function the next year in the city of Québec.
