JOHN WESLEY BLACK is the son of Mrs. Patsy Davis and Ike Black of Marion County, Texas.

He is the husband of Mrs. Theola Bolden Black who preceded him in death.

Obituary | "Sunday Rites -- John Wesley Black, of 2603 Oliver Street, Marshall, died Sunday at Douglas Memorial Hospital, in Jefferson, Texas. Services are to be held at Concordia Church, Marshall, on Sunday with the rev. Mr. Lockett officiating. The body is at Rambo Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Cedar Grove Cemetery (in Marion County, Texas). He was a native of Harrison County -- the son of Ike Black and Mrs. Patsy Black. He attended Marion County schools. He was a member of the Gregg Lodge No. 2036, AF&AM, and the Concordia Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Butler, of Longview, and Mrs. Tessie Porter, of Richmond California; and nine grandchildren."

Arrangements were under the direction of Robert A. Rambo and the undertakers with Rambo Funeral Home.
