Mrs. Anna Bori, 84, of South Plainfield died yesterday in her home.


A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield, following the funeral from the McCriskin Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield.


Mrs. Bori was a seamstress with the former Middlesex Dress Co. in South Plainfield for 10 years and with the former Robert Dress Co. in Highland Park for five years before retiring in 1987.


She was an honorary life member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 149 in Plainfield and the Polish National Home in South Plainfield. She was active in the South Plainfield Women's Republican Club, where she served as president from 1963 to 1968. In 1963, Mrs. Bori was presented by the borough of South Plainfield with the first New Jersey State Flag. She served as a committee woman in District 2 in South Plainfield from 1959 to 1972.


Mrs. Bori was a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens, the Altar Rosary Society of Sacred Heart Church and the American Association of Retired Persons.


Born in Jersey City, she lived in South Plainfield since 1921.


Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Barbara A. Colucci, Patricia A. La Vecchia and Mary Ann; a son, William T.; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Miller; two brothers, Victor and Joseph Owsianik; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
