He was the husband of Mildred (Katerman) Long.
Born in New Schaefferstown, Jefferson Township, he was a son of the late Warren F. and Beulah (Hartman) Long.
Long was employed as a machinist in the tool room by Clever Brooks, Lebanon, until his retirement.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Long was a member of Zion's (Blue Mountain) United Church of Christ, Strausstown.
He also is survived by three daughters: Josephine I. (Long) Riegel, Landisville, Lancaster County; Cindy L. (Long) Kamp, Sharltesville; and Debra M. (Long) Evangelista, Shoemakersville.
Other survivors include three sisters: Marian (Long) Batz, Frystown; Grace (long) Breidigan, Rehrersburg; and Mae (Long) Long, Bethlehem.
There also are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Zion's (Blue Mountain) UCC. Burial will be in Strausstown Union Cemetery. The Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem, is in charge of arrangements.
