He was the husband of Pearl A. (Marburger) Long.
Born in Myerstown, he was a son of the late Warren and Beulah (Hartman) Long.
Long owned and operated the former 83 Rollarama, Bethel, from 1957 to 1965.
He was also employed for 15 years as a maintenance mechanic by the former Mechanic's Uniform Rental Service, Reading, retiring in 1979.
Long was a member of Bern Lutheran Church, Bern Township.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is also survived by a daughter, Dolores A., wife of Donald B. Clark, Reading; and three sons: Gordon E., Reading; F. Frank, Mohnton; and Earl M., Shillington.
Other survivors include two brothers, George, Jonestown, Lebanon County, and Warren, Hamburg; and four sisters: Leona, widow of Francis Stoudt, Hamburg; Marion, widow of Roy Batz, Frystown; Grace, widow of Daniel Breidigan, Rhrersburg; and Mae Long, Bethlehem.
There are also six grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville. Burial will be in Bern Cemetery, Bern Township.
